About Dr. Anthony Porter

Dr. Porter is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He uses minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical techniques to treat injuries of the shoulder, knee, elbow, or hip. He also received specialized training in shoulder arthroplasty (replacement).

He is trained as a surgeon but believes in the value of non-surgical treatment for the appropriate injuries. He is experienced in some of the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques, including biologic treatments such as platelet rich plasma (PRP).

Dr. Porter’s goal is to help his patients return to their desired activities or lifestyle through a patient-centered approach to their care.  He is dedicated to providing exceptional personalized care to his patients.

Dr. Porter is originally from Boston. His interest in orthopedics stemmed from his love of sports and the ability to help people get back to their favorite activities. He and his wife love the Bay Area and all that it has to offer. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching sports, woodworking, hiking, traveling, and trying new foods and restaurants.
